When I started to ride horses here in Curitiba, Guilherme Mattar was already a young talent in show jumping. Now he lives in Europe where it is a prominent horse rider.
In 2010 the stable of Guilherme in Belgium went through a fire and unfortunately three of his horses died.
One of the horses survivors was Pacha B’Neville. (brother of Number One d’Iso by Canaletto, winner of seven years in Lummen). Pacha had 40% of his body burned, veterinarians did not believe he could get better and not even participate in show jumping competitions. But his rider did not give up and took care of him for a year with much care and attention.
Today Pacha jumps national and international competitions with obstacles at the height of 1,45m. After his return he won a third place in the Grand Prix in Belgium.
This is a story of overcoming and love. Pacha is a warrior horse and recovered with the help of Guilherme. That’s what any horse waits, be care and can always count on your rider.
